DANISH AIR FORCE TAKES NAVY ‘COPTERS

The Royal Danish Navy’s Helicopter Service has transferred to the Royal Danish Air Force and renamed as squadron ESK 723. Together with the RDAF’s Merlin Search and Rescue (SAR) squadron ESK 722, and Fennec squadron ESK 724, it will form Helicopter Wing Karup. The move will not affect the role of the eight shipborne Lynx helicopters apart from a change in the Call Sign.
